JIM GOLDIE is double-handed as he bids for a fourth success in the Palmaris Services Braveheart Handicap at Hamilton Park on Friday night.
The Uplawmoor trainer, previously successful with Hillview Boy (2010) and Sir Chauvelin (2016 & 2017), saddles Theglasgowwarrior and Employer in the £25,000 1m 4f feature.
Goldie said: “It’s been a good race for us and it would be nice to win it again.”
Mark Johnston, a two-time winner of the race including with Rainbow Rebel twelve moths ago, also saddles a couple of runners in the shape of top-weight Fire Fighting and Charles Kingsley.
In-form Iain Jardine is represented by course winner Tor while the longest traveller is Seafarer, trained at Whitsbury in Hampshire by Derby-winning handler Marcus Tregoning.
Locally based Keith Dalgleish has enjoyed a good week down at York and the Carluke trainer has runners in the Contraflow Traffic Management Ltd Handicap and the Palmaris Integrated Facilities Services William Wallace Handicap, both of which are worth £12,000.
