JUST a few days after becoming the latest jockey to join the 1,000 winner club, Brian Hughes is at Musselburgh on Monday for five rides on a six-race card.

Currently lying third in the jump jockeys title race, the 33-year-old Irishman reached the milestone at Wetherby on Friday.
Of his four-figure total Hughes has ridden 72 winners from 427 rides at Musselburgh where he recorded a magnificent 899/1 five-timer in 2016.
His first mount is on Nefyn Point for Donald McCain in the Betway EBF “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle. The grey is a full brother to Nefyn Bay, who completed a hat-trick of wins at the East Lothian venue last spring.
Hughes is also aboard Rainy City in the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap Hurdle. The nine-year-old reverted to hurdling last month when fourth at Catterick.
The final mount of the day for Hughes comes on Keith Dalgleish-trained Alright Sunshine in the Betway Casino Standard National Hunt Flat Race.
After making an impressive winning debut at Carlisle in November, Alright Sunshine was a close second under a penalty at Newcastle just before Christmas.
Despite having eight entries, only Ontopoftheworld and Chain Of Beacons have been declared for the £15,000 Betway Kilmany Cup Handicap Chase which has been brought forward and is now the opening race.
