SUPER-consistent veteran Civil Unrest bids for more course success in the feature race at Musselburgh on Monday.
James Ewart’s Langholm raider, a four time winner at the East Lothian venue, faces five rivals in the £12,000 Saltire Festival Handicap Chase, a race in which he came fourth twelve months ago.

“He’s won eleven times for us and he has a lovely bunch of owners,” Ewart said. “He’s been a fantastic horse for the yard and, despite his advancing years, he continues to race enthusiastically. Although he needs good ground to be at his best he handles all tracks.”
Top-weight Monsieur Co, formerly trained by Paul Nicholls,  has cheekpieces added to a tongue tie for the first time as he makes his second appearance for the Keith Dalgleish yard.
Cap St Vincent, trained in the Vale Of Glamorgan by Tim Vaughan, bids to defy an 8lb rise for his romp over this same trip at Ludlow eleven days ago.
The Welsh trainer is double-handed in the opening Border Safeguard And Security Experts Handicap Hurdle with money-spinning Eric The Third and Fields Of Glory.
The former is after his sixth win of the campaign after striking four times over fences and once over hurdles while the latter is equipped with a visor as he tries for his first win under any code in nearly two years.
