Gordon Brown – Race Reporter

Gordon has a wealth of experience of racing through his background in the written and broadcast media. His current principle role is reporting and supporting the scene in Scotland on Racing TV and relaying the latest news with Scottish angles.

Parisiac, trained by Iain Jardine, made all the running for Andrew Mullen in the Fabulous Handicap.

Appearing for just the second time since his move from Alice Haynes, he held off Warrendale Wagyu by a head with DC Flyer only a neck back in third.

“We’re starting to get to know him and he was better from the stalls tonight,” Jardine said. “He’s got a bit of scope with his mark and he also stays further.”

Well-regarded Bob Mali, a first course runner for Manton trainer Ollie Sangster, scrambled home in the the McKie Builders EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.

Sent off a heavily-backed 8/11 favourite under Jason Hart, he beat badly-hanging Farandaway by a neck in the colours of Pompey Ventures.
