At Ayr on Monday, Redarna gained a record-equalling eighth course win in the Virgin Bet Best Odds Daily Handicap.
The strike by Dianne Sayer’s ten-year old sees him level on the same number alongside co modern-day record-holders Tommy G, Glasses Up and Goninodaethat.
“He’s a real star and that’s him for the season now as he’s going out in the field when we get home,” Sayer said. “I thought Gina Mangan gave him a super ride by grabbing that far rail.
“That’s the 16th win of his career and he also likes our local track Carlisle where he’s won five races. We all love him to bits and he’ll be back season.”
