Lethal Levi, ridden by Clifford Lee and sent off at 20/1, led home a remarkable 1-2-3 for trainer Karl Burke in the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup.
The Middleham trainer, who watched from home, also landed the 1994 and 1998 renewals of the £180,000 heritage handicap.
Lethal Levi beat Silky Wilkie by three lengths in a new course record time with their stable companion Korker a short-head back in third.
“Even when I saw the Silver Cup earlier on I wasn’t bothered about being drawn in stall 20,” Lee said. “He jumped great from the stalls and I’d say I pretty much made all the running.
“It’s a great result for the yard and this horse has had a great year. He’s still improving and is very speedy.”
The Silver Cup was won impressively by Alfa Kellenic, who was winning her sixth successive race.
