Eternal Sunshine duly completed a hat-trick with a fluent success in the Join Racing TV Handicap for Jim Goldie and Paul Mulrennan.
Held up as normal, she came cruising through to lead entering the final furlong and won a shade cosily by a length and a quarter from Ramon Di Loria.
“We bred her ourselves and she’s a lovely filly,” Goldie said. “She was maybe in front soon enough but she’s not the finished article yet and I’d say she could be a future Ayr Gold Cup horse.”
Richard Fahey unveiled a decent prospect in the shape of Strong Warrior in the Irish EBF Maiden Stakes for two-year-olds.
“He’s done that very well and didn’t have any anxious moments,” reported winning jockey Oisin Orr. “He’s done everything we’ve asked of him at home and he’s up there with our best two-year-olds.”
