PRIMO’S COMET scorched to his fifth course success in the £10,000 RacingTV.com Handicap at Musselburgh on Wednesday.
Ridden by Paul Mulrennan and trained by Jim Goldie, the 3/1 chance beat Koropick going away by a length and a half.
Goldie, who also bred the winner, said: “He’s been a wee bit unlucky and the fast pace helped. I trained his grandmother and his mother, who won here on her only visit to the track.”
Karl Burke and Clifford Lee teamed up for a double courtesy of Bullet Force and She’s No Angel.
The former landed the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes while the later scored at 11/1 in the Racing Profits Returned To Racing Handicap.
After winning on Bullet Force, Lee said: “I rode him when was second at Sandown on his debut and he was beaten by a good horse there last time. He travelled beautifully through the race and was idling once he got to the front. I think he could be pretty smart and he should stay further.”
