Devon raider Master Technician produced a decent performance to land the £30,000 feature race at Musselburgh on the final day of the Scottish Flat season.
Ridden by Callum Rodriguez and trained by Rod Millman, the 13/8 favourite slammed newcomer Princess PW in the EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes over seven-furlongs.
“It’s a long way to come but it’s worth for a nice race like this, said Millman’s son and assistant James. “He will probably keep going into the winner and he should stay a bit further.”
Dianne Sayer was on the mark with a near 78/1 double supplied by Jackhammer and Savrola.
The former sprung 20/1 upset in the 100% Racing TV Profits Back To Racing under Kaiya Fraser while Paul Mulrennan steered 11/4 favourite Savrola home in the Watch On Racing TV Handicap.
There were two Scottish winners in the shape of Iain Jardine’s Zaphea and John L Sullivan, who supplied Lucinda Russell with her 14th Flat winner of the year.
