Paul Mulrennan is chasing a third win in the £50,000 Listed feature race at Ayr on Saturday night.

The jockey, successful in 2016 on Marsha and in 2020 on Que Amoro, is aboard Azure Blue in the Unite The Union Winning For Members EBF Land O’Burns Fillies’ Stakes over five-furlongs.

On a BHA mark of 112, the Darlington raider is the top-rated runner in the nine-strong line-up and she has Group 2 winning-form to her name from York last spring.

The only other runner on a three-figure notch is Karl Burke-trained Beautiful Diamond (103), who was an all-the-way winner of the Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes over course and distance at last September’s Ayr Gold Cup festival.

Subsequent form from the Land O’Burns can end up in the top drawer as, along with Marsha, 2004 scorer Airwave and 2011 winner Margot Did went on to succeed at Group 1 level.

There is also a decent prize up for grabs in the £40,000 Join Unite Online @unitetheunion.org Handicap (for the Johnstone Rosebowl).

Euchen Glen, owned and bred by William Johnstone, is one of four course and distance winners among the ten-strong field for the 1m5f event.
