He had a few good runs on the all-weather at Newcastle earlier in the year and then did the job nicely at Hamilton a couple of weeks ago. That’s was his first handicap on grass so hopefully there will be more to come.”

Life On The Rocks, trained by Richard Fahey, only scrambled home by a nose at Redcar a week ago but the application of a first-time visor may see him produce a little bit extra.

The card begins with some expensive purchases lining up for the Racing TV Maiden Stakes for two-year-olds over six-furlongs.

As a recent £220,000 breeze-up buy, Electrolyte makes his racecourse bow for Lambourn-based Archie Watson.
