LINDA PERRATT is double-handed with The Caltonian and Burtonlodge Beauty in the Sunday Market At Ayr Racecourse Handicap on Monday.
Formerly based at the famous Cree Lodge stables adjacent to the track, she now operates from Jackton, near East Kilbride.
“We’ve taken Burtonlodge Beauty out twice recently due to unsuitable ground so hopefully the going will be fine for her this time as she ran very well over course and distance last Monday,” Miss Perratt said. “The Caltonian went really close over six-furlongs at a massive price at Ayr two runs ago so we’re hoping he will go one better soon.”
On the fifth successive Monday card at the track, the Fergie Happel Memorial Handicap over 1m 2f is the £10,000 featured race and Sir Prescott’s Newmarket raider Flyawaydream catches the eye.
A close third at Kempton on his only previous start so far this year, he holds no less than five entries in the next few days suggesting connections are hopeful of a big run in the West of Scotland.
