SAM JAMES is looking forward to Hamilton Park on Saturday night when he has a full book of rides at the Lanarkshire track.
His seven-race bonanza starts with Keith Dalgleish-trained pair Lady Lade in the opening juvenile contest and then Soapys Sister in the Hamilton Ecosave Installations Handicap.
The Yorkshire-based jockey said: “Lady Lade won her maiden very nicely at Carlisle for Callum Rodriguez and I was on Soapys Sister when she lost her maiden tag at Ayr in May. She’s coming back in trip at Hamilton but the stiff five-furlongs should help.
“I enjoy riding at the track and its a fair, galloping course. You can drop one out or go from the front so the best horse usually wins.”
As well as Dalgleish, James is also riding horses from the yards of Kate Scott, Philip Kirby, Harvey Bastiman and Kark Burke.
Scottish handlers have five of the eight runners declared for the #Cleanstay At Hampton By Hilton Handicap but the finish could be fought out between Love Of Zoffany and Tommy R, trained by Mark Johnston and Phillip Makin respectively.
