“She’s been super-consistent since she came back to us,” said Jardine, who also saddle top-weight Jump The Gun. “Mohammed gets on well with her and they’ve been successful at Ayr and Leicester as well as that narrow Hamilton win a couple of weeks ago.
“He’s never lost on her but she’s actually won a total of eight races for us including six since we got her back. She battled on gamely last time and her mark has crept up another wee bit.”
The opposition to Catherine Chroi includes Jordan Electrics, who holds the six-furlong track record after setting a new best of 1m8.70s almost two years ago.
And Sacred Falls, a first winner on turf this year for Katie Scott last month, bids to follow that Carlisle strike off a 5lb higher rating.
The Indigo Unified Comms Handicap twelve months ago went to Ed Bethell-trained Rock Of England, a four-length winner, and the Middleham trainer is after retaining the trophy with Angel Of England (no relation).
Dual Grand National-winning handler Lucinda Russell has already enjoyed three winners at the Lanarkshire venue in 2024 and she could go close with recent Haydock third Moyola, who hasn’t won on turf on eight previous attempts.
