Duran Fentiman is looking forward to riding Tim Easterby-trained Dark Jedi in one of the feature races at Hamilton Park on Saturday night.
The eight-year-old faces six rivals in a competitive-looking DX Home Improvements Handicap over 1m 5f.
“We get on great together and I’ve won six times on him,” Fentiman said. “He won at Thirsk over slightly further back in the spring and he’s suited by anything other than quick ground so the soft of good will be fine.”
The opposition to Dark Jedi includes My Noble Lord, who is on a hat-trick for Newmarket handler Michael Bell, following wins at Yarmouth and Ripon and Lucinda Russell’s Two Auld Pals, who already has three wins at the south Lanarkshire venue.
Fentiman also has a chance of landing the DX HOme Improvements Ltd, Bellshill Handicap aboard another Easterby raider, Mysteryofthesands.
He was course and distance winner just eleven days ago and the form was boosted at Carlisle on Thursday when the runner-up Individualism gained a ready success.
The evening opens with the Hampton By Hilton Hamilton Park Apprentice Handicap in which Impressor, Lady Celia, Borough, Zaphea and Ski Angel all boost course and distance winning form at Hamilton Park.
