JIMMY LONG has his eye on more Hamilton Park prize money with his home-bred money-spinner Wickywickywheels on Friday night.

The Glasgow owner’s mare is set to shoulder top-weight in the £30,000 Palmaris Services Braveheart Handicap over 1m 4f..

Last August, Wickywickywheels, trained by Jim Goldie, sprung a 14-1 upset in the £100,000 Lanark Silver Bell and Long said: “It wasn’t a surprise to us as she loves the place – that was her fifth course win. She had a good winter in Dubai so hopefully she’ll have another good year here as well as I always try to be champion owner for the season.”

The opposition to the five-year-old includes stable companion Faylaq, who has already finished second and third at Hamilton Park’s first two meetings of 2023.

Also in the line-up is Keith Dalgleish-trained Heights Of Abraham, a half-length runner-up twelve months ago.

Wandering Rocks represents Newmarket-based James Fanshawe, who has saddled two previous runners from just 14 runners at the Lanarkshire venue.

Iris Dancer, trained in Cumbria by Tristan Davidson, bids for a repeat win in the Palmaris Hire Services William Wallace Handicap over six-furlongs.

Last year, when also ridden by Andrew Mullen, she scrambled home by a short-head and arrives this time off the back of finishing fourth over course and distance 12-days ago.
