Iris Dancer is after more course success in the ICB Waterproofing Windows Handicap at Hamilton Park on Wednesday.
Trained near Carlisle by Tristan Davidson, the mare recorded her sixth win at the South Lanarkshire venue with a game all-the-way effort twelve days ago.
“She’s been a little star since she came to us and hopefully there is more still to come,” Davidson said. “We have this theory of running her in better races so she doesn’t have to carry as much weight but she did also win a couple in Class 5 company last year!
“All bar one of her wins have come at Hamilton so she clearly operates well there but she won at Ripon before she came to us and she’s also run well at Carlisle. She’s never won off this high a mark but she’s only six and these sprinters love their racing.”
The opposition includes Katie Scott’s three-time course and distance scorer Slainte Mhath and Iain Jardine-trained Catherine Chroi, a winner over this same six-furlongs at Hamilton Park’s opening fixture of the year earlier this month.
