BILLY GARRITTY is looking forward to more success with hat-trick seeking Thermoscope at Hamilton Park on Thursday.

After wins at Newcastle in October and Musselburgh last month, the Carluke raider bids for three on-the-trot in the Gartcraig Inn Always A Warm Welcome Handicap.

“The Musselburgh win was on his first run for Keith Dalgleish and he did it very nicely,” Garritty said, of the horse, who holds an entry in the £150,000 Northumberland Plate on July 1. “He’s obviously gone up a few pounds for that impressive win but he’s a lovely horse and he could make a smashing hurdler!”

Charlie Johnston’s La Pulga, also entered in the ‘Pitmans’ Derby’, flowing his close front-running fourth in the Palmaris Services Braveheart Handicap over slightly shortly nearly three weeks ago.

The afternoon‘s feature race is the £30,000 Sodexo Live At Hamilton Park Clyde Handicap over six furlongs.

Khanjar, entered in the Wokingham Handicap on the final day of Royal Ascot, is the likely favourite for Jim Crowley and William Haggas in the famous blue and white Shadwell Estate silks.

Newmarket-based Haggas has a near 30 per-cent (29-87) course strike rate while ex-jump jockey Crowley is 2-14 with his mounts at the South Lanarkshire venue.

Second season dual-purpose Newmarket trainer Jack Jones has his first Hamilton Park runner in the shape of recent Leicester winner Fengari in the opening 6f Sodexo Live 2YO Series EBF Series Restricted Novice Stakes.
