Gordon has a wealth of experience of racing through his background in the written and broadcast media. His current principle role is reporting and supporting the scene in Scotland on Racing TV and relaying the latest news with Scottish angles.

HOLLIE DOYLE makes a rare appearance – her first since 2020 – at Hamilton Park on Wednesday night when she travels north of the border for two rides at the Lanarkshire venue.

Doyle, who rode Nashwa into third place in Friday’s Cazoo  Oaks, has ridden two winners from just four previous mounts at the track and her first ride, in August, 2016, provided victory aboard Courier in the valuable EBF Stallions Scottish Premier Series Fillies Handicap.

The second of her mounts is on Archie Watson-trained Fly To Glory, who shoulders top-weight in the Bet At  racingtv.com Handicap over six-furlongs.

Also among the declarations is Westmorian, trained by Grant Tuer, who said: “He’s been running very well recently and went close in a couple of Sky Bet Sunday Series races including at Hamilton. Hopefully there’s no reason why he shouldn’t run well again.”

Doyle’s other ride is on Teresa Grace in the Award Winning Hospitality At Hamilton Park EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.

Twelve months ago the race went to subsequent dual Group 1 winner Perfect Power, who is a fancied contender for the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot next Friday.

Ewan Whillans-trained Jordan Electrics is one of two course and distance winners lining up for the Sparkle And Shine Christmas Party Nights Handicap.

The other is Global Humor for Jim Goldie, who saddled the latest of his rapid-fire trebles at Ayr last week.
