WELSH raider Le Milos bids for another course win in the feature race at Kelso on Monday.
Trained by Tim Vaughan in the Vale of Glamorgan, he faces seven rivals in the LCS Joinery 50 Years Of Trading Handicap Chase.
Le Milos made two long journeys up to the borders venue in the autumn when winning and finishing a close third in two races over hurdles. Now he is in chasing company for just the third time and has gone up 6lbs for a comfortable success at Fontwell last month.
Micky Hammond’s Schiehallion Munro, named after a peak near Loch Rannoch, makes his maiden appearance at Kelso and first run since a decent front-running second at Musselburgh on New Year’s Day.
Stephen Mulqueen partners Boy’s On Tour and is one of his five rides in a quest for a career 75th winner which would see the 28-year-old ride out his claim.
The seven-race behind-closed-doors card, opens with the Congratulations The Shunter Bet365 Morebattle Bonus Handicap Hurdle, celebrating the Irish horse who scooped a £100,000 jackpot for following up his Kelso success at last week’s Cheltenham Festival.
