Jim Goldie is eyeing another strike in the £25,000 Musselburgh feature race with three-time course winner Rock Melody.
The Uplawmoor raider, who scrambled home by a neck twelve months ago, is again in the line-up for the British EBF Premier Fillies’ Handicap over seven-furlongs.
Goldie said: “We could have done with a better draw but we’ve been aiming her at winning this race again. I’d say she’s a player especially as she loves getting into – and getting out of – trouble, which is how she won last year and at Hamilton in August.”
Opposition to Rock Melody includes hat-trick seeking Come On You Spurs and fast-improving Rockymountainway, both trained in Newmarket by Richard Spencer and Charlie Fellowes respectively.
The card has a little bit of deja vu about it as Rock Melody is one of five winners from the corresponding card last year bidding to land the same race again.
Bulls Aye (1.50), Albegone (2.50), Pembrokeshire (4.20) and Mrs Bagerran (4.55) are the others bidding for repeat wins.
