JUMPING returns to Musselburgh on Saturday with a cracking fixture headlined by a wide-open feature race in which Gold Des Bois bids for a first success since joining Iain Jardine.
The seven-year-old, a winning point to pointer, hurdler and chaser in Ireland, is one of six declared for the £20,000 Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Chase over two miles.
Jardine said: “He ran a blinder on his debut for us when second in a good race at Kelso. This will only be his sixth run in a chase so hopefully he will have a bright future over fences.”
Recent narrow Wetherby winner Return Ticket is one of a full-book of rides on the seven-race card for Brian Hughes.
Also in the line-up is Rose Dobbin-trained Some Reign, who was over three lengths behind Return Ticket in third place at Wetherby.
Hughes is also aboard Gaelik Coast for Donald McCain in the Visit RacingTV.com Handicap Chase over 2m 4f.
Carrying the well-known colours of Tim Leslie, the Cheshire raider was an impressive winner of the Frodon Novices’ Chase at Musselburgh’s Festival Trials meeting in February.
