Horseracing is a diverse sport attracting individuals from different backgrounds, skillsets and talents. It is important to know the needs of the workforce to understand how they can best be supported. Following on from the Racing Home project, a need was identified to better understand the extent and nature of issues relating to pregnancy, maternity, caring and family life, and the barriers/enablers to people reaching their full potential.
This survey served as a pilot for gaining feedback on these areas, particularly through a lens of work-life balance, and the results are summarised below.
